Why the input is photos here

Link import works with Shopify and most other stores. You paste the URL and the page gets read for photos, price and details. Amazon is the exception, and it is better to say so on this page than let you find out after pasting one.

Uploading photos is not a workaround. It is the second supported input, and a listing gallery is exactly the kind of asset it expects. Save the main image and two or three angles off your own listing, add a lifestyle frame if you have one, and skip the infographics, which are mostly text and give the clip nothing to move. PNG, JPG, HEIC, TIFF and WebP all upload.

What Amazon sellers use it for

Video for the listing itself

Listing video normally means a shoot. Photos you already own are a cheaper starting point.

Off-Amazon traffic

The same vertical clip runs as a TikTok, Reels, Shorts or Meta ad pointing at the listing.

Catalogue coverage

Video for the long tail, not just the hero ASIN. When a clip costs credits instead of a production day, the fiftieth product can have one too.

Outputs from the same system

A personalised gift, a beauty product and an apparel item. More in the examples library.

Personalised “mama” candle A personalised ceramic vessel with a gold interior, turned upright on a wooden table and lit. On screen: “A thoughtful gift for mom”
Lip stick applied at the desk A pink lip stick uncapped and applied at a desk over an open magazine, ending on a close-up of the finished lip.
Denim maxi skirt mirror check A buttoned denim maxi skirt with a white tank, checked front and side in a full-length mirror.

Amazon sellers: common questions

What if I also sell on Shopify or my own store?

Then use that URL. Product links work with Shopify and most other stores, and a store page usually carries better copy for the script than a listing does. See the Shopify page.

Will the video meet Amazon's listing video requirements?

That is Amazon's call, not ours. Their specs and policies change and vary by program. You get a standard vertical MP4 and can use it in your own marketing and commercial campaigns; check it against the current requirements for the placement before uploading.

Your first video ad is free.

Save the images off your listing and upload them in the app. If you also run your own store, paste that product link instead. New accounts start with free credits and no card.
